A decade as a strength coach. Then I took a wild bet on my career.
Powerlifting, coaching, transforming bodies. That was my world. When I wasn’t coaching clients, I was practicing Brazilian jiu jitsu or glued to my computer writing fitness programs. I put my body under some serious stress.
My body was hurting, and the massages I got never seemed to bring me the lasting relief I wanted.
I thought I can’t be the only one struggling to find relief. I knew there was others like me who saw the benefits of massage but couldn’t find the right person to deliver. So, I decided to go to massage school.
With my knowledge of the body, and my strength, I knew I could help others who needed more from their massage. So I walked away from a steady fitness career to do it.
And here's the thing: even after I was in school and exploring the different available modalities, I still couldn't find the depth I was looking for.
So, I went searching farther.
That search took me across the globe, three months immersed in Thai massage in Thailand, advanced barefoot bar-based trainings in the U.S., and finally, SARGA Bodywork®.
SARGA Bodywork® was better for me than everything I’d experienced until then but I had barely heard of it.
My first thought was: why isn't this everywhere?
The answer annoyed me.
It wasn't that barefoot didn't work. People just dismiss it because it’s with feet. I saw something different. The best bodywork I'd ever found was hiding behind a stigma.
That lit a fire under me. There are people everywhere getting on tables, leaving unsatisfied, quietly deciding massage just isn't for them, when the answer existed the whole time. They just never got near it.
So I made a decision. I was going to dedicate my entire practice to this work. I'd be so good at it that no one could try it once and dismiss it.
And I’d make it so popular and normal that everyone would want to try it.
So I went to social media and could not shut up about barefoot massage.
SARGA noticed my dedication to this craft and invited me to teach others
My practice grew quickly in my first year. My first year, I logged over 1,100 hours on the table, all barefoot, from day one.
I only offered barefoot massage exclusively, so every session every day my skills just got more and more refined.
My clients started referring friends and family and were constantly rebooking.
SARGA noticed my commitment to this work and asked if I would teach for them. After refining my craft even further through advanced teacher trainings, I’m now responsible for the next wave of barefoot massage therapists who come to my courses in three states.
My goal is simple: to give you the kind of relief that actually feels like it reached the problem. Not a generic massage. Not pressure for the sake of pressure. Real depth, delivered with control, patience, and enough precision that your body can finally let go.
If you’ve been disappointed by massage before, give barefoot massage a chance.
It might be the thing you’ve been looking for.
I know whats its like to be that tough client who can’t get the depth they want anywhere.
Come find out what you've been missing.
The people who feel this work don't go back to traditional massage. See why for yourself.
